Daniel was often compared to the Greek Gods: bronze skin; an angular chin; rather large arms and legs for his age; white teeth; and Daniel stood very tall, like Jupiter. When angry, he looks as if he would pull a lightning bolt from his pocket and use it. His clothes fit snuggly but were not constricting. He stood at six and a half feet tall and is as wide as he is a quarter high.
His eyes were a solid black and just the opposite of empty: they looked almost as if they were filled with black water that would spill over at any moment.Daniel kept his graying hair short and face clean. Daniel was one of those men who were not all that hairy but not boyishly hairless. He had attached earlobes that were pointed, almost as pointed as an elf's ears.
Personality:
Daniel is a troubled man. He hated his childhood. He had been very sheltered from life and had always wanted to get out of his home town and structured life. He ended up falling back in.
As time went on, Daniel became more and more abrasive and self absorbed and less structured (until the military). This behavior increased dramatically after he fought in the war. Daniel began to hate life. He became so absorbed in drugs that he no longer knew what was going on around him and he didn't care one iota.
Daniel later became self-righteous and religious and believed in Heaven on Earth.
History:
At the age of seventeen, Daniel graduated from Eloise High School in Heaven. He had lived in that rural town his whole life and was ready to get out. He moved the the farthest city he could afford a ticket to. Since he didn't know how to do any job in the city, he decided that he'd join the Army. They let him in. He was in for five years before he ever saw war. After eight months of fighting, Daniel woke up in a white room with no left leg. He was honorably discharged.
After being released from the hospital, Daniel started showing signs of PTSD- jumping when cars started for fear it was an explosion, staying away from black bags for fear it was a bomb, and other occurrences. He started taking drugs to calm his nerves. The drugs included heroin, marijuana, and cocaine. The preacher at the Catholic church that sat on the corner of the street were he lived saw what he was doing to himself and eventually convinced Daniel that he need help with his drug problem.
Daniel converted to Catholicism. He attended mass every Sunday. He decided, instead of being wheelchair bound, he'd get a leg. That's what he did. He was walking back from getting his when he met Joshiah. He told told Daniel about "The Left Hand" and Heaven on Earth. He thought it was a sane idea- though not at first. But then, he started thinking:A perfect life. A place where nothing could or would go wrong. All the pleasures a man needed. Utopia.
Daniel helped build and recruit for Heaven.
